10th Anniversary Season
Our company is currently on hiatus, but we seek to revive with YOUR help. We chose to cease creating dance productions to focus on making sure our dance artists are paid for their rehearsal AND performance time. Our dance artists put in 360 rehearsal hours per show collectively and should be paid for their hard work and dedication. We have produced 6 dance productions and it would not be possible without the sacrifices our dancers have made to attend rehearsals. They are moms, students, spouses, and humans who deserve to be paid for their valuable time. We are asking that you contribute to our Dance Artist Fund today as we seek to revive our dance company by January 2020. We would need to meet an initial goal of $5000 and an overall goal of $25,000 to create a small endowment for the purpose of paying our dance artists for many years to come. All too often we hear of major, regional dance companies closing due to not having a funding structure set up to support the artists. We want to change our narrative and do better by our dancers. Thank you for your support of our wonderful dance artists of Greensboro, NC!

Dance Speaks: (MIS)CONCEPTION – February 3, 2018 - A choreography conversation for the people and by the people. Dance Speaks is an initiative to use dance as a platform to speak about tough topics in our society. This year, we will facilitate a discussion about infertility and miscarriages.
This vulnerable dance production will tell the true stories of three women who have dealt with infertility and miscarriages. The women reflect on getting married, the expectations of reproduction, and the pain of being unable to conceive or carry a child. Often, people do no realize this silent burden that families carry. There are many misconceptions about conception. Couples are constantly bombarded with intrusive questions about family planning. This show seeks to raise awareness about this taboo topic and remind people that every couple’s decision to have children or not is a private topic and should be approached in that manner.
Immediately following the show there will be a panel discussion with the women as well as healthcare professionals to talk about infertility and miscarriage. It is our hope through this production we can bring peace and healing to families dealing with this as well as raise awareness to the general public about the sensitivity of this topic.
